No they don't but there is a way to go about it. As at the time of writing this, Amazon doesn't offer direct shipping to Nigeria yet but they do accept Nigerian issued cards.

One of the greatest places to shop on the internet as at 2014 is Amazon.com. It's a very large online store that actually sells both physical and virtual stuff and they do have quite a large inventory of things one can buy. From household items to car accessories, baby clothing to school books, Amazon is an ideal one stop destination for all your shopping needs.

Amazon however is mostly based in the USA and has branches in major cities across the world like UK, China and Australia but none in Africa yet. Amazon doesn't operate in any country in Africa and this includes Nigeria - Africa's biggest market. Already major players are trying to capture the online shopping market in Nigeria but non still comes close to what Amazon has to offer or the track record the company has made for decades of its existence.

In the past, it used to be hard for Nigerians to buy things on Amazon with their bank issued cards since those cards were mostly local ATM debit cards that were not accepted online talk less of globally for online shopping. Later on however, brands like Visa and Mastercard entered into the country and this opened up Nigerian buyers to the global world of spending.

Cards like Visa and Mastercard issued by Nigerian banks are now accepted on sites like Amazon but the giant still doesn't ship to Nigeria just yet since it's stores tend to only deliver locally within the USA. What that basically means that a Nigerian resident in the USA can shop on Amazon with his card and get a home delivery. How about him being able to shop from Nigeria?

Well, one way to have your items purchased from Amazon delivered to Nigeria is by getting a US mail forwarding service. A US mail forwarding service allow you to have a US mailing address or warehouse at which you can receive goods sent to you by US companies and then later delivered to you using an international courier service to Nigeria.

So, if you happen to be in Nigeria at the moment but want to buy things on Amazon and wondering how it's going to be delivered to you right here in Nigeria. It still can be delivered to you but not by Amazon directly but by a US mail forwarding service provider.

You will just have to sign up for that service and pay a small fee after which you will be given an address you will be using to use as your default US shipping address when shopping on Amazon. All you need to get started is a Nigerian Visa or Mastercard.
